Joint Statement – Funding to modernise the historical buildings at Gardenvale Primary School

Students at Gardenvale Primary School will have access to upgraded and modernised facilities across their historic campus.
The school’s main building was opened in 1922, and now hosts more than 600 students.
A Matt Guy Liberals and Nationals Government will deliver $11.7 million for a range of improvement works including the upgrade and modernisation of the school’s historic buildings.
Liberal Member for Caulfield, David Southwick said this commitment will provide certainty into the future.
“Gardenvale Primary School is particular historical significance, and these upgrades will preserve the history rich buildings and ensure they are well-equipped for students to learn and grow into the future.”
Liberal Member for Brighton, James Newbury, said Victorian students and teachers deserve the best learning and teaching facilities.
