Urgent Upgrade Of The Elwood Park Pavilion.

OUR COMMUNITY NEEDS AN URGENT UPGRADE OF THE ELWOOD PARK PAVILION.

Over the past 20 years, Elwood has undergone a significant demographic increase in size and shift towards young families.

In 2006, when the Elwood Park Sporting Pavilion was built, 21 sporting teams with 880 members used the site. Now, 72 teams with 4120 members use it.

When the Pavilion was first built, there were no girls’ teams playing sport at the park – there are now 10. But the Pavilion is not female friendly.

The facilities are comprised of a central change room and adjacent shower space. This space is not adequate for the number of overlapping teams changing, nor is it female friendly.

We need action. Our community deserves modern facilities that are female friendly.
