20 Storey Skyscrapers in Your Suburb

DO YOU OPPOSE STATE LABOR ALLOWING 20 STOREY SKYSCRAPERS IN YOUR SUBURB?

Our city will grow, but we must not sacrifice Melbourne’s liveability for population growth.

Labor has failed to fix Victoria’s housing crisis.

In recognition of that failure, Premier Jacinta Allan has desperately announced that the State Government will approve 20 storey super skyscrapers across a handful of Melbourne suburbs and allow up to six storeys in suburban streets.

Of these suburbs, half are in three Council areas (Bayside, Boroondara, and Stonnington).

This follows Premier Jacinta Allan committing that State Labor intends to at least double the size of Melbourne and grow it from 5 million people to 9 million people, the size of London.

The Premier’s skyscraper policy was announced without any community consultation, without any iron-clad commitment to local infrastructure upgrades, or any guarantee that third party rights, amenity, or heritage overlays, would be retained.
