Elwood residents are concerned about traffic in Byron Street, specifically traffic banking up near the Brighton Road end of the street.

Residents have suggested the removal of the island near the corner of Byron Street and Brighton Road. The traffic island was clearly installed at a time when traffic was minimal and now acts as a bottleneck device that is a significant contributor to congestion.

We need action on the issue now.
