Members Statement - Bayside Violent Crimes

MEMBERS STATEMENT

‘BAYSIDE VIOLENT CRIMES’.

Tuesday, 25 May 2021.

Mr NEWBURY (Brighton) (14:06):

How many crimes need to be committed in my community before Labor wakes up?

We have seen a string of crimes in Bayside parks, sexual and violent assaults committed on local teenagers.

On Saturday night a 17-year-old Elwood boy was stabbed by 20 youths in Elwood Park.

The State Government has a duty of care to keep the community safe.

Brighton deserves more than Labor’s deliberate silence.
